where to start with magic

If you're wondering where to start with levelling up, revamping or just-beginning your magical practice — heres what I would suggest for you to do…

That you start with addressing what your motivations are in life.

In other words…

You need to figure out what's currently missing from your desire and motivation to practice magic, and then supply that absence. 

For me, my motivation to do magic was eclipsed for many years by the absence of wanting to have a “sufficient understanding” for my detective-like (INTJ) brain on the universe’s mechanics and laws. 

Really, I just wanted to know without a doubt 1000% about how “magic” and “manifesting” really worked - and I wasn’t going to be satisfied until I did…

… I figured that once I understood what the deal was — I could do what I needed to with my mind, alone.

Isn’t that the ultimate witchy + manifesting goal? 

*swoon*

Well, and once I achieved that, you know, my goal was that if and when I did desire to use a spell or do a ritual… that they would just be adding an explosive rocket-like surge of energy to them and to the power that I already have within me.

RIGHT? 

So, I say originally I was lacking my “why” and “where” to begin and belief in myself to make it work. So I’ve been there.

You see, there's a vast array of ideas and methodologies out there about "how to do magic,” from all kinds of teachers and authors in every flavour of the occult and paganism...

… and yet there is so much of the "how to" that is offered in a way that's ...well, how do I put this... poorly unpersuasive and highly impractical. “Do this every full moon… because magic!!" 

This, is basically what I extracted from A LOT of those books. Which is awesome, because I love the idea of that too — but you know when you are just starting out, it’s also not all-that-motivating to the practical and rational part of me that always, incessantly, and ruthlessly wanted to know the deeper reasons?

What gives? Who cares? Why does this all work? What gives? Why doesn’t anyone know the answer? Somebody tell me!!!! 

So, I set out to motivate my skeptical and logical brain to get with the magical program, by finding out all of the compelling reasons, details and why's that could… and I did.

Happily, that's now a big part of what people love so much about Magical Rituals: Radical Magic — the big sexy why's that help your logical mind get on-board with the high strangeness of magic....

In conclusion and a nutshell, where you need to start is this… Ask yourself: “What's keeping me from totally running with my magic?”

Then figure out what would remedy it.
